Wishing UpON a sTAR
sth to share..
do u have friends that seem to have everything in the world? filthy rich, looks that kill, sporty and cool, musically inclined, clever and have excellent academic result? Yet, they still feel inadequate and insecure with what they have?
have u ever compare yourself with someone before? result, appearance, wealth, popularity.. etc? don't answer me and say NO now..
imagine u're the LAST person in the class, and when u know that u're the last person, will u work a BIT harder so as to be the second last next time? yes, u may not be bothered, but, don't u rather be the SECOND last than the LAST?
i am sure u do compare. everyone does.
now here is the question- why do we compare? it's human nature.
second question- is there a need to compare? that's a tough one. some people think yes, it will make one improve and be a better person. and no, it will leads to stress, unhappiness and dissatisfaction.
and in this camp.. i learnt this- there is no need to compare.
"God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them"-Genesis 1:27
God is perfect. and since Man is created in His image, that makes EVERYONE perfects too! ^_^
"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good."- Genesis 1:31
God created Earth, sea and Man. and He saw everything he created, and commented that it was VERY good. Note that He said VERY good. not just good. that means, everyone is VERY good. so there is no need to compare! u maybe better in this, i maybe better in that. God has a plan for EVERYONE. He planned you to be born before u were born. that means, He has a purpose for you. Thus, there is no need for u to compare, complain and worry. ^_^ have faith in our dear Lord. He will make ur life abundant. for God so loves the world that He gives His only son. You're in the world he created. He created you. He cares for you.
so why not change ur perception on things instead?
dun u think perception shapes your life? it's just like a THIN girl thinks she's fat. no matter what you say, no matter how thin she REALLY is in reality. she will still think she's fat! typical example! and she will just think she's fat FOREVER until she thinks she's fit enough. but wat's the point?
