Wishing UpON a sTAR
have been reading lots of newspaper recently. hmmm.. think that The Straits Time's Life session is getting interesting.. hmm.. or did i just started noticing...? but nvm, tt's not the point. ahhaha...
Today's one is rather touching. It's about British don John bayley (he's a professor of English in Oxford Uni and a formiadable author in his own right. Note that from the Asia section in the Lian He Zao Bao, there is a ranking of universities in uk. and OXFORD is the first, Cambridge is second!! the rest... can't rem. rem there are 4 other uni with the word London though...) ops.. digrested. lol.. okok.. back to Jon Bayley. It was about how he deals with the death of his wife, Iris Murdoch (She's another famous writer...).
they married for 44 years, and Bayley saw her persona disappear before his very eyes after she was stricken with Alzheimer's diease.. In 1999, she died of broncho-pneumonia at age 79.
And this is the thing that he said that touched my heart. "Now i read her books the whole time; and writing of her with her as it seems the only way of communicating i still have"
i dun exactly understand the underlying meaning of the sentense... but somehow, it got into my heart. hmmm... it's like can sense that he still loves her alot. and that remind me of one of the song written by Jay Chou- ye qu.
